Day 6 : Schwangau

Today we left Mhnich early to hit mad kind Ludwigs famous castle Neuschwanstein and his dad's Hohenschwangau Castle.  First we stopped at the Hoh castle,  it was very nicely decorated with lots of painted murals.  The Kings bed chamber was interesting,  it had a bunch of nude women painted on the walls.  Funny thing they said was when the king had children he hired someone to paint cloths on them,  for restoration however they took them back off.

The big castle I guess was never finished.  No wonder because the place is massive.  Some rooms are way different from others, wish they allowed pictures would make it easier to recall.

Finally the sun is hitting it, it's surrounded by large mountains so it was all shades when we were up to it.

We checked into our Christmas residence.  The bedroom we ended up taking is a bit odd.  Red tapestry like walls.  And a picture of Marilyn Monroe to go with it all.  Next few days will be relaxing.  We don't leave here for 3 days.
