Day started with breakfast in the parador. Wine, champagne, sandwiches, eggs, fruit, and pastries. Basicly the works. Should have had some alcohol. Anyway started walking about 8:50. Stopped walking at about 4pm. One way out of town the first thing of interest were these personal bodegas. Build and covered with dirt to keep the wine at a consistent temperture and humidity.
Mostly flat today, other than the towns not much in between.
The church towers have changed, not sure how anyone gets up them to work on them.
One of the towns reminded me of Men in Black. Checkout this abandoned space ship.
This was a cool mural at the entrance of the town you suggested to stop at. 14 km to go
At the last town I switched to sandals, figured I'd give the shoes a try. Bad idea. Again my heel has a blister. But I did pay attention to my feet. The problem is at about 6 miles they start to swell. And apparently these shoes or any I'm comfortable in so far don't have enough room for all that extra water gain.
After the last town you head out along the railroad tracks. The first train freaked me out, dang it was going fast for being so close. It was a passenger train. The next one I was ready for, it was a little slower it was cargo but I got it on video.
Finally the final approach. I though for a minute I was starting to halusinate. I saw camels and lamas. But as I got closer I saw the circus was in town. Wow, I got worried for a moment.
Staying tonight in the paroqurial albergue. It's real cool. And the shower was cold too. The floors are the old original style. Aparently it was a pilgrims hospital in a former life. Well I think the whole town was. There is a nice back patio and free wifi. I'm set.
