We started the morning at 6am. The sunrise was geogeous over the grape fields.
Today we entered La Rioja the wine region of Spain.
This was our first destination. Had some breakfast with Quinn and Joe before they took off ahead. They beat me by 2 hours.
There are a few olive trees scattered about. Their trunk is just amazing looking.
This was the next town I breezed thru.
Just a cool looking relic along the way.
These guys got in my way and get priority. Hey actually caused a bit of a traffic jam. Three cars and 6 pilgrims worth.
Once we reached Logroño we found out they have a festival so everyone is out.
A bunch of street vendors selling thei wares.
So tomorrow I'm not sure how it's going to go. Although I didn't have my pack today my feet went into overdrive and are so fatigued that now 6 hours later they still ache. I dunked them in an ice bath to try and get the swelling down. Blister wise I still only have one but I feel like I have a bruise on the bottom of my right foot and the heal of my left.
The last town before Logroño I seriously was going to take the bus the last 11,7 km. But it wasn't due for 3 hours so I stuck it out. Big mistake, should have gone with my gut. It took me 3 hours to walk, almost crawl that distance.
It was 29C today and to top off the problem with my feet I got a bad sunburn on my arms, hands, and back of my legs. And tomorrow it's suppose to be 31 C. Ouch.
So tomorrow we will see. Only time will tell.

Oh dear. Sunburn and sore dogs. :( I do hope your schedule allows a day off. Your current city looks like a fun place to hang out, at least. I am pretty sure your guys could use a rest day too.
