Leon

Today we made our way to Leon.  I think the whole country must have slept in today because it was delay after delay.  First the bus was about 20 to 30 minutes late.  This caused us to take a train to Leon from Burgos versus the bus.  The train was about 40 minutes late arriving then about an hour into the trip we were informed there were technical issues (ended up being the tracks) so we had to sit for 3 hours at an old mainly abandoned train stop.

Once we got moving I did spy these Lego train tracks piled on the side of the road.

After all that fun we checked into the Parador in Leon.  It's in an old monestary although our rooms are in an addition from the 1970s.

Checkout the skeleton key for our room.

We walked around Leon.  Since here was a Feria (Fair) going on there were people everywhere with music and food and all kinds of things. We got this Tapa with a drink for 3 Euros.

They had a kids area with some neat homemade noise makers.

Love the cathedral, I always find the spires amazing in their construction. We were only able to peak in cause they were closed.  But the stained glass looks cool.

We also walked by a building of Gaudi's.  I'm not really a fan.  Everyone loves Barcelona, I wasn't that impressed.  Not my style I guess.  But back to this building it was kinda cool.

The only piece that freaked me out are the towers, I swear it's looking at you and has hair growing out its ears.  There's a movie or book with a character like this.  Creepy.

Tomorrow I begin the last leg of my camino, excited to get going.
